The surname Jacomb is used internationally, not being confined geographically to the British Isles. The surname is today used in Australia, the United States, Canada, South Africa and Fiji. A strong population of Jacombs exists into the 1700s in London. In the 1800s the 1881 census indicates strong population concentrations in London, Staffordshire and Warwickshire. • Jacombs - strong concentration in Aston, Birmingham & Nuneaton in Warwickshire; Harborne & Walsall in Staffordshire.
• Jacombe - appears to be found exclusively in South Humberside.
• Jacom - strong concentration around Walsall in Staffordshire.
• Jacomb-Hood - Greater London; West Sussex; Suffolk.
