The Will of Josia Jacombe(s)
Proven in the Prerogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury in the year 1686.
This Will is in the custody of the National Archives at Kew.

In the name of God Amen
I Josiah Jacombes of the parish of St Giles without Cripplegate in the County of Middlesex Pewterer being sick in body but of perfect mind and memory doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner following Imprimis I commend my soule to God that gave it me And my body I committ to the earth to be devoutly buried at the discretion of my executrix hereafter named Item all my goods and Chattles whatsoever and what may come under the notion of a personall estate wheresoever it be I give and bequeath to my loveing wife Joane Jacombs whom I constitute and appoint to be sole executrix of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all other and former will and wills by me heretofore made Witnesse my hand and seale this twenty seaventh day of September Anno Domini one thousand six hundred eighty and six Annoq Regni Regis Jacobi secundi must Anglia et secundo Josia Jacombe. signed sealed published and declared by the said Josia Jacombe to be his last will and Testament in the presence of Robert Moore his marke Jacombe Rutt I: ffreeman.

Probatum fuit hu___ Testamentum apud London coram venti viro dni Thoma Pinfold milite Legum Doctore Surrogato Ventis et Egregii viri Richardii Raines Legum etiam Doctoris Curia Prerogativa Cantuar Magistri Custodis sive Comissary ltime constituti secundo die mensis octobris Anno Domini Millesimo Sexteutesimo octogesimo sexto Iuramento Joanne Jacombe ____ dicti defuncti et executricis in dicto Testamento nominat cui commissa fuit administrato omnium et singulorum bonorum jurium et creditorum dicti defuncti de bono et fideliter admstrando eadem ad Sancta Dei Evangelia jurat.
