ALBERT JOHN JACOMB Born in Handon, c.1889. Son of William & Agnes Jacomb. Enlisted in London. Private 4457 in the London Regiment, 3rd/15th (County of London) Battalion (Prince of Wales' Own Civil Service Rifles). Died 10th May 1916, England, aged 27. Buried Hursley (All Saints) Church Cemetery. Medals awarded: not known.
Born in Shoreditch, London in 1896. Son of Philip & Emily Jacomb. Enlisted in London, a resident of Mortlake. Rifleman 391428 in the London Regiment, 9th (County of London) Battalion (Queen Victoria's Rifles). Died of wounds 30th or 31st December 1917, France & Flanders, aged 21. Buried grave II. B.5., Minty Farm Cemetery, Langemark-Poelkapelle, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Awarded the Victory Medal and British War Medal.
Born in Eastney, Hants in 1886. Son of Philip Henry & Martha M. Jacomb. Enlisted in Portsmouth. Lance Corporal 7571 in the Dorsetshire Regiment, 1st Battalion. Entered theatre of war 16th August 1914. Killed in action 13th October 1914, France & Flanders, aged c.26. Listed under panel 22 and 23 on Le Touret Memorial, Pas de Calais, France. Also remembered on the war memorial of St Andrew’s Church, Farlington, Portsmouth and on the Cenotaph at New Ground, Portland, Dorset. Awarded the Delhi Durban Medal, Victory Medal, British War Medal and 1914 Star.
Born in Yarmouth in 1888. Son of Rebecca Jacomb. Trimmer 3214/TS in the Royal Naval Reserve on HMS "Osiris." Died 19th September 1915, aged c.27. Listed under ref. 14 on Chatham Naval Memorial, Kent, England. Awarded the Victory Medal, British War Medal and either the 1914 or 1914/15 Star.
